I am trying to find out how to dismantle the inkwell for cleaning, the ink keys are getting stuck.

hi vikki very simple unscrew all keys counter clockwise untill they come out may have to use plyer if the keys are
locked with ink then remove 4 bolts under fountain and pry off. let keys soak in press wash and wire brush clean fontain as well when placeing keys back start from middle out .use 2mm feeler guage close fountain screw keys
clockwise untill you feel slight drag on gauge remember MIIDLE OUT PUT GREASE ON KES BEFOREHAND. then put
smaal amont of ink in fontain and even out good luck spikeboy

  • Using plyers on the keys tend to damage thumb knob and forcing dry ink through threads can damage fountain tray. Remove nuts above keys to remove blade exposing dirty screws. Using a wire brush and blade to clean threads to remove screws without damaging threads in ink fountain. Clean and grease and reassemble. Spikeboy is correct, tighten from middle out, loosen from outside keys to middle.
