ok so i keep getting this transfer detak fault, It only occurs when i am printing any kind of cover stock. Text weight prints fine. i bypassed the cheaters on the front door and watched the dicors glowing and the tab assembly moving up an down. Also logged into service and running DC106 and still getting same fault codes.

Thank you

A couple of questions

1: Has the STAB just been replaced?
2: If so is the last digit of the part number a 7?
3: What is your environment readings - in particular humidity?
4: Have you replaced/rewired the Transfer and Detack corotrons?

  • I have replaced the tab blade and the transfer and detak corotrons, while trying to diagnose the problems. humidity is low around 20% but usually still runs cover with no problems

try changing substrate media settings. trying to print a solid gray background on a 8 pt coated 1s paper.... had to set transfer down to 110.

I dealt with this today. Started with that then changed to bad quality. Seems to want lower numbers for transfer right now, or I get major "snow". Its so dry in here....i cannot touch anything. theres "more sparks than an arc welding convention" again. LOL

also...Ive had problems with brand new transer detack wires before....check they are fully seated, also reboot machine. Once had problem with power supply for them.

tried changing media settings, lowered transfer settings down. Still not able to run cover stock without getting xpe-09-3061 fault. Will run text weight with no problem. humidity is still around 7%, trying to get the humidity up to see if that is the issue.

Humidity is definitely an issue. Needs to be at least in the mid 30%

HAHA! nothing wants to run. all my printers are having errors! my humidity was at 6.8 one day last week...igen was running, but I couldnt get solid colors.
Also, When pulling paper from the stacker, I had to prepare myself for an electrical shock so strong, it felt like I was going to wake up in 1955!! :)

    HURRY UP SPRING!

I hope you do not run into the same issue that I had.

Since we got out 150 over a year ago it was nothing but issues with the TAB area. Than we got to a point where constant Detack Shield Faults

    3061 and 3066

Our machine was down for close to a week with tech's working on it, and almost called out the boys from Toronto.

Replaced transfer deck twice, power supply, all kinds of stuff. And realistically in the end, no one really knows what fixed it. The old deck is back in and I even think the power supply is the original one. Somewhere along the line though they got it fixed.

I've since only had a handful of detack faults, and reset them and don't see them again. I hope that your issue is a fairly easy fix.

ended up getting a couple of humidifiers and was able to bring humidity up 20%-25% no more transfer detak faults
    thank you '

Too bad you didn't find out for sure what the root cause was.

I'm having the same 150 problem: with transfer detack issues for a couple weeks now.
Checked the TAB blade screws, replaced TAB blade (on our third TAB blade now) replaced the Dicors, . Seated and re-seated Dicors, Cleaned, & inspected wires & connectors.

Reduced and then even increased trans /detack settings just to see if fault would change. Humidity is at 38%. Opened the environmental unit for air circulation.

Nothing seems to work. I'm leaning toward a power supply issue but it looks like that may not be the issue?

Seems like 20% stock winds up in the trash. Faults out on ALL stock types & sizes.

restarted, re-initialized, even full shut down.

What else to try? Oh yes, where did I leave that FIRE AXE?

Better kick this up to the guys at Rochester............

Take a look at this photo, I happen to have a ton of these issues the other day, noticed some rubbing on the belt though, so not sure if it's similar in this sense, but doesn't hurt to look.

In the dead center of this photo is a little metal nipple from the transfer deck. It should be seated inside a plastic clip that looks like a gator's mouth. In this photo the clip is broken, was the cause to my latest issues. Maybe it'll help, maybe not.

Otherwise all I could suggest is the harnesses in the back, make sure they are good.

    Best of luck

    Transfer/ detach faults

Have you disabled the fault for transfer/ detack to see if it is an actual issue? If you mask the fault and it doesn't affect the quality you can at least get the prints done until they figure it out.

The clip looked OK and everything seemed like it was seated in position. It was worth a try! Thank you for the info!

That is a great suggestion! If I understood you correctly: I changed the value to "true" for the max value and it's been running so far so good!

I may have enough stock left to finish the job. :)

    Thanks for the info!!
