Hello.
We have SM-52p with CP-tronic console. After starting the machine "HEIDELBERG CP-tronic" splash screen stay displaying and dont switch to main screen. We found that power leakage relay in alarm mode. So looks like some part of electrinc perepherial don't starts guarded by relay. At the same time main-board functioning normaly (flashing red led) and feeder side display switches after boot from splash screen to error 02.
Please advise what part of perephirial this relay controls. Were to find leakage?

Hello,
The leackage is not important. Is it a low pile or high pile machine? Send some photos from inside the electric cabinet.

  • It's low pile machine
Here is the photo of cabinet

Based on my shallow experience, if main screen remains on its logo, that COULD be a malfunction between ZSK and others. first of all you have to make sure if +5volts and Minus power DC-lines are correct? Do you have +5volt on ZSK? after that, there are some tiny LEDs on ZSK as indicators, How about them, do you see a tiny red blinking LED on ZSK? You may need to take a look at electrical drawings or consult an electric/ electronic technician.

Thank you for your answers everybody.
    - Regarding red LED on ZSK board - it is flashing as usual.
    - We have tested cable from ZSK to Main Console Monitor - it's good.
    - We have cleaned all sockets at ZSK board by contact cleaner
    - Also we have made test by swaping ZSK from working machine - The main console remains at the same state.

I would like to reset ZSK by @Adil recommendation but Main Console Monitor are at electronic technician at the moment.
    Wainting information from him.

    Will keep you in touch.
    And thanks.

By the way, all what could Heidelberg team recommend to us is to order his technician from other country offline...

How about the level of voltages? Do you see all the voltages at the output of NTM & ADSM??
And if it is your first time for hard reset (as your press has Perfector) be aware it is very important to put your machine on straight mode, manually. Very important)

(P.S. if I was there my first step would be to make a bridge on earth leakage detector (11-14) and then check all the auxiliary connections beside the either each thermal switches or fuses then the condition af ADSM, NTM). How old is this machine??

Yes, You are right and my topic was started from this issue.
    Machine from 2001.

This device is not responsible for internal failures but it is using for monitoring the earth and leakage currents. first of all do it bridge and continue your investigations. I have already had the same condition on an OLD PM52. it was hanging and getting stock at start-up logo and I have changed capacitors which were on NTM and on EWK.( life-time of capacitors). and at my case, it was successful. So it depends on the age and work-hours of press and also the quality of main- electric power perhaps need to exchange the capacitors.

Just finished checking communication between Console Monitor and ZSK by protocol analiser. Here is strange beheivior of ZSK. It sends initial package after power on (again and again). But analizer tells that they are incorrect. As result Console Monitor doesn't respond to they at all.

    just curiosity :
    1. Have you ever try to do hard-reset (on the x11 (Male pins) a pair of jumpers connect between 9-10 and connect between 11-12 )?
    2. Is this possible if you swap or exchange the MTN board with a correct and reliable one?

  • Checked all power source by oscilloscope to exclude any noise. They are ok.
I am speaking about the ripple current this is why lots of big capacitors are on Press on each electronics boards

Measuring ripple current with an oscilloscope can be a bit tricky because oscilloscopes usually measure voltage, not current directly. However, wish you good luck coming soon

I never tried to do hard-reset. So I am a little scared because of unknown pitfalls.
But now I know from you that machine SHOULD BE IN STREIGHT MODE. And jumpers must be placed on 9-10 and 11-12 pins. Then I should power on and wait some time (How much?)
By the way what you think should change after reset? What kinde of params will be reseted? May I loss internal configuration of machine?

And unfortunatelly I don't have working MTN board around but will try find.

    Thank you for your sagestion.
