The machine was working fine and the next minute the problem started. I think, according to the user, a job was sent to it but when it was taking too long to print, he tried to delete the job and recycle machine power...next the fault came up on switching it back on.
I've tried to do stuffs like NVRAM restore/resset; tech fault resset, but no success. Any further assistance will be appreciated, thanks.

  • Yes, i downloaded an imaging unit identifier postscript snippet from xerox site and installed on the machine.

Hi! I have "non-phaser 7760 imaging unit" also. I got the Image Unit ID Postscript Snippet from the xerox web page, when i try to downlod it with file downloader the printer does nothing! How did you installed it? Thanks

Get to the centreware internet page by typing the machine IP address in the address bar of a web browser within the same network. Choose "print" option; choose "download file" option; browse to the file (the postscript file you have); press "print". This should normally do it if the MCU NVM chip is not yet corrupt. All the best!
