Xerox 800 issues

I have had this machine for 11 months now and have had all kinds of problems. Started out with Fiery RIP and had imposition issues with covers and text, recently switched over to a Creo Rip and have had issues with Images and file components dropping off.
Jamming issues galore and communication errors between the printer and PC.

Has anybody else had issues like this? I can't go 3 days straight without having a service call. At this point I am ready to have them take this machine out.
Any and all replies would be a big help.

I run with fiery, ive been troubled by alot of different problems, right now, the papercatalog doesnt syncronise between the PCUI and the fiery. Fiery is able to see whats in the trays, but if i make a new papercatalog it wont show up. Guess its time to reload the software for 13'th time.

In the start i had alot of problems with jams, but seems its o-k now, but i do still exeperience jams on thicker stocks, 300gsm and so.

I often clean the sensors near from the transfer module to the fuser, they easely gets dirty, this can help out on jams as well. If your jam often appears near the stacker, try to adjust the decurler.

Im just glad i got a on-site technician from xerox =)

I have had our 800 for a year and a half and have had all sorts of trouble. Jamming being the biggest issue.
Our communication problem was fixed by updating the software, havn't had that for a while. The paper catalog is inconvenient but we just live with it.
We currently average 130,000 clicks per month which is well below the Xerox advertised volume of 300,000 per month, and we have at least 1 service call per week. We have been down for 2 or3 consecutive days a few times.
Some of the time jamming can be resolved by rebuilding the fuser ,cleaning the sensors or using rubber restorer on the rollers in the problem area.
This seems like an endless battle. I would also be interested in any other ideas or fixes that I'm missing.

Now I'm fight with jamming 13 x 19 cover stock. I have not had any paper catalog problems, we're running the Fiery. I just found out that the machine will not offset stack in the catch tray anything over 11 x 17. WTF!! Slip-sheeting job adds way too much time and cuts down on profitability.

After a few weeks with the paper catalog issue Xerox told us that updating Internet Explorer to version 9 could be the problem, we downgraded and then the catalog worked again. Wierd.
