Hello, Good day. We have a SM74 6 color machine. We have a problem on the output of our coating unit. There is a horizontal streak line near the gripper end. We will greatly appreciate your suggestions on this. Thank you.

Can you post a picture of the problem? Also is it a anilox coater or a older roller coater?

Sounds like your overrunning clutch(es) are bad. Check catch pan under pan roller gearing (under gear side main cover) for metal shards.

I have a similar problem on a cd 102 1996.We see that the rubber roller does not spining in the right speed especialy when the metal roller touches on the coating plate.First we thinked that maybe its an electrical problem and we switch the motors from a colour tower and also we switch board but the problem remain.Tomorow we will dismantle the side cover to check the gearbox more carefully from the side window everythink seems fine.

The problem appear in griper side and if there is spot coating its doing the same above the spot area.
