Silver from CMYK process

Oh i dont know Mrheidi, DTP might suggest something like spittin in the ink to turn it mettalic :-)

New silver ink from Color Logic

Check out Color-Logic who sells a special new silver ink - claims not to dull back when coated, and runs at .30 status T density.

  • Its a Graphics arts trick to add a metal-like visual. I would run the Ink, customer will not appreciate the the gradient effect.

  • roland dg spent billions creating special gold and silver inks for there wide format solvent printers, which run cmyk... why?
because you cannot make a metalic out of cmyk, you can print something that resembles it, but on close up its just a halftone.. if you want to print silver or gold im affraid you need to add it as an extra spot colour. simples
