Unless you use MetalFX inks - they are closing but there should still be stock of ink around for a good while. With this ink you can lay Silver down 1st.
Sorry Richard, not familiar with them so I wouldn't know. We only get Flint unfortunately, which in my opinion isnt exactly the greatest (prefer Toyo, or Hendschy). None the less, I hope you have found a solution for your dilemma Prasanga
Silver will never be silver unles it is run as a spot colour, you might get it to look something like but it will never be metalic so it will never be silver
Read what was asked for in the first place. Silver in CMYK, he didn't ask for a spot color. But I guess you got a clever answer ready for me, don't you?
Have a nice life wiseguy.
Well Inky, I bet Rolandman is going to tell you that it is no silver. Whatever you say, this guy nows it better.
I guess it's a a lack of imagination. Thanks for your information anyway.
well i could agree and say it is silver, but that would be a lie because as said before it wont be silver until it is mettalic and i doubt that ee candy would look Mettalic
And theirs a difference between havin imagination and being realistic
Yeah silver ,IMO can't be created out of process and as everyone apparentley agrees SOP is silver down 1st unless its free standing...I did have a designer once who insisted on running silver last over the black ,some kind of weird effect he was looking for , apparentley he sold it to the client...
