Roland miehle 1989 ink duct Motor

hello i'm making my final project on electronic engineer and i'm working in the automatization of a offset Roland miehle machine, model 1989, his system of ink is not working and i have to make a new one but i don't know how the ink duct motor works, can anyone explain me how it works, i know already that there are 3 wires that comes from a potentiometer and show me the position of the motor but i don't know how connect the other 4 wires
