Title: MAN Roland 300 – Complete Dampening Roller Setting and Adjustment

Hello everyone!

I am looking for technical documentation, a service manual, or a detailed explanation of how to properly adjust all rollers in the dampening system on a MAN Roland 300 offset printing press.

I am particularly interested in the complete roller setting procedure, starting from the water ductor roller in the dampening fountain through all intermediate rollers up to the dampening form roller that transfers the dampening solution to the printing plate.

I would appreciate information covering:

  • The function of each roller in the dampening system.
  • The correct sequence for setting and adjusting the rollers.
  • Correct roller pressure and contact settings between each roller.
  • Roller parallelism and contact across the entire roller width.
  • Correct setting between the dampening form roller and the printing plate.
  • Recommended contact stripe widths and tolerances.
  • How to identify excessive or insufficient roller pressure.
  • How to check and adjust roller settings using setting strips or measuring gauges.
I would especially appreciate the original MAN Roland 300 service manual, technical drawings, or roller setting specifications for the dampening unit.

I am looking for detailed, technical information rather than just a basic explanation of how the dampening system works.

Any documentation, photographs, diagrams, or practical experience would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!
