We have a Heidelberg SM72 FP ,1986 that starts normally but after 4 to 5 hours of running the motor stops and needs to be manually restarted using a handle on the machine
Has anyone come across this issue before? What could be the problem? Could it be major?
The machine is in a tight space so access to the motor is restricted.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated
Thanks

  • The machine is a 1986. There is a handle on the machine that is used to re start the machine manually

"Handle on the machine", meaning the main motor brake handle? If that's so, you have a brake disc problem, or best case, the switch on the brake requires readjustment or replacement.

Thanks for the reply. Yes it is the handle on the machine main motor
