Heidelberg SM 102-2 Air Requirements

I am planning an installation of a SM 102-2P. Can anyone provide me with the CFM/PSI requirements for this press. Or recommend a Rotary screw air compressor size that would work well. Thank you

Atlas Copco SF4 FF is the standard compressor for these machines. Any compressor equivalent to it can do the job for you.

I think another important factor is the model year of the machine and how it’s equipped, Blake. I remember years back at Bruce Printing, when the Copco failed on their 2000 model 5-40”, we replaced it with a screw compressor supplier out of Chicago at a fraction of the cost of even repairing the Copco.

For sure, Matthew. Hate to spend $20k on a compressor equipped with only Alcolor.

Thank you for your reply's. The press is a year 2000 it is equipped with CP 2000, Preset Feed & Delivery but that's about it. No auto plate.

Something like this, Blake. You could probably get by with a 5hp at 460V (or 230V if customer wants to feed compressor on separate circuit from press), but the cost difference is minimal and size is similar. I'm not endorsing this particular product, and going with Ingersoll or more established name would be a bit more expensive, but may be more reliable in the long run.
