A "caved" cylinder, as we call it, is simply the damage caused by (a) a group of sheets being pulled through the machine while mainly on impression, if a machine had expectations, it was expecting only the one sheet the squeeze was set for. But, if due to an inoperable barrier asssembly or, say a deactivated double sheet detector, an unexpected group of sheets got pulled in, the hollow, web support of the cylinder surface gets crushed, causing low areas of damage or (b) an object large enough to spread out pressure (like a blanket bar) falls in between cylinders not only causing the image of that object, but also, again, crushing the webbing of the cylinder.

Actually, I was too busy the last week.
Please, let you know that at the beginning I have checked the bearers pressure, because another person were playing before I was there. I have adjusted the bearers pressure because the I found that the pressure is too high between plate bearer and blanket bearer (almost ZERO).
Then I made it with feeler gauge (0.01).
This is Heidelberg standard, and I told you I had made this several times before successfully.
You are right about the dial gauge, but unfortunately this customer is too far from my city, and the our dial gauges were busy by my colleagues.
Anyway, my customer is not so hurry!
So I have enough time to think wisely what to do in the next step.
I have to test the cylinders with dial gauge first, but I have a lot of doubt that the three points bearing are on a bad condition.
And as all of you know, if you ask the printer about any accident, he will say NOOO.
When I go back to this customer I will check, and tell you what happened.
