We use XMPie with all of our variable projects we divide the into batches of 500 sheets. This works best for us in many ways. 500 Sheet lifts fit in the cutter. If the cutter operator miss cuts on batch we just down load that batch a reprint. 500 Sheet batches are easy to put up from the stacker. Etc.
