ryobi 3200

any ideas on a ryobi 3200 that is stuck on impression,it comes off sometimes but i just cant figure out what the problem is, any help would be greatly appreciated

I don't know if the 3200 uses the same imp setup as the 3302 but...... on the 3302 each unit has a elec solinoid that trips the impression on/off. There's a angled shield over it to deflect oil from it but sometimes oil/powder/grease does get in them. And it'll stick on impression. Follow the imp levers down to the impression solinoid. TURN THE PRESS OFF and unplug power cords. There will be a arm and 2 clips you need to remove. Then lift the center actuator out of the solinoid. Clean well with a elec contact type cleaner and reinstall. Should do the trick if the 3200 is the same. On the 3200 I don't think the impression trip is mechanical but it could be. In this case that would need to imp trip lever lowered slightly. This can be a fussy adjustment as too low the impression will not come on or go on/off and too high and it stays on all the time. This is a matter of just locating the impression trip and following the mech arms to the adjustment point. Take the covers off and have a look at things. I learned a lot doing this myself over the years. Having a job on press with a deadline that has to be met. And I don't go home until it's done. You learn quickly what does what and how to fix it.

ive tried everything and its still stuck on impression,even had a ryobi tech in,he fixed it and made out it was the timing and that i probaly had a jam,it worked but next day it was back

i eventually fixed it,i have been using screws as split pins on the operation lever,they break after time,but one of them fell into the the impression arm and jammed it on impression
