Running Newsprint through an 800

Anybody have any luck running newsprint through a 1000/800?
I ran tests on 9 x 12 sheets and it ran fine, even duplexing.
Now I'm trying to run 11 x 17 and it stops at the fuser.
I'm set on the lightest gsm setting which is 55.
Any tips?
