Hi everybody,
Please anyone can help me with the following problem?
It is about the cutting machine POLAR 92 EM-MON:
When I press two buttons to cut,the the blade is not moving down and it
displaying :TIME OUT ERROR KNIFE
CUT INTERRUPTED
What can cause this?

Hi,
Do the clamp come down? By pressing the cut buttons, without the foot peddle.

Check the knife position. It should be inTDC (fully up position)

And check the safety bolt behaviour. It should be pulled fully and should be pulled within 2 seconds of pressing the cut buttons.

Check it and let me know

Thank you for your reply.
The clamp come down with no problem ,I have checked the knife is fully up and every thing look to be ok.
I think that may be there is a leakage some where in the hydrolic pipes and the pressure is not enough.
Please do you have the service manual for this machine?
If I had it,that should help me to check carefully the hydrolic circuit.

Have you check the safety bolt?

I don't feel that there is a problem with the Hydraulic system. Those type of problems are very rare. But can happen. If you feel so, do the following check

All the red LEDs on the SK card should light up when you press the cut buttons. And there is another 2 red LEDs on the front side of the back panel. Those must be light up too. They indicate the power to the clamping and cutting solenoids. If even one of them is not lighting up, then you should first check the electronics before Hydraulic.
And you can further check the actual supply to the solenoids. Open the right leg cover and then there are 8 screws. Remove them and you will see the value box. There are 3 solenoids. ( the 3rd one is the conical value.) Check whether they get power when you press the cut buttons. (You can distinguish the conical value, it should get power as soon as you press and release the foot peddle.)
If they get power, then you have problem with Hydraulic. If they don't, then with electronics.

Hi,
NimeshSilva,thank you again for the instruction.
I have checked all leds on SK board as you told me and they are all fine.I tried also to measure the power on solenoids and I found that all of them get power,it is 42V DC.
Please where does locate the safety bolt?Can you help me to get the service manual?

First thing I would check if it is a hydraulic clutch is does it need bleeding. Around the back of the machine under the gear box is the hydraulic ram. On the top is a small bleed screw loosen it an get someone to press the cut buttons and keep them presses untill you get oil comming out. If that does not work and you are sure there is power to all cut valves then you have a faulty ball valve.let me know how you go on I maybe able to help further

Hi,
I still think the Hydraulic is good. Have you checked the solenoids? Two of them should have the resistance around 110 ohms and the other one should be around 78 ohms.
And further, if you are confident, take out one solenoid at a time, power up the machine and check their function.

If the hyraulics is a three valve system forget y315 the other two valves for cutting and clamping are the same. Swap them and see if fault changes to clamp. If it does then that valve is faulty. If it does not move fault is on supply to valve. Probably dry soldered joint on board with transformers behind mother board .
