Our cutter is currently down. When you turn the machine on its askes to reference. It also throws an error message that back gauge is locked. So it wont reference.. I had a company come out to look at it but they could not figure it out. Still cost me 2k. Now ive noticed that none of the boards are lighting up. I get a v16 and nothing else on the ip board. The company that came out wanted to sell me a retrofit package around 30k but im not sure i want to put that into this old of a cutter. Any insight on troubleshooting would be great.

Control transformer secondary:

Secondary voltage Application PMF fuse
32 V PS plug-in board F 1 = 6.3 A
+5 V, +24 V and +12 V

11.5 V +9 V for control unit F 2 = 4.0 A
and keyboard computer

12.5 V cutting-line indicator lamp F 3 = 4.0 A

42 V 42 d.c. for magnets F 4 = 6,3 A
( except for Y 27 + Y 33 )
12.5 V cutting-line indicator lamp F 5 = 4.0 A

15 V not assigned F 6

42 V 42 V control voltage for F 7 = 1.0 A

contactors of backgauge drive motor
20 V not assigned F 8

Scan reference error can be from a broken wire of scanning head or the scanning head itself. Check also the power supply as mentioned. This error is common and can be easily diagnosed and fix.

30K for a retrofit is a scam. At most it will be 6K.

In general, this message backgauge locked informs the operator that there is an external facility locking the backgauge movement. This is signalled by the
corresponding external unit via its input to board SFM 95 when the peripheral
equipment connected is not in resting position in stand alone mode in a system configuration.
Any trial to activate a machine function is prevented by
the computer and indicated by an error message.
- Take peripheral equipment to resting position.
- Turn key-operated switch to position "generate operation with peripheral
equipment"
- replace SFM 95- board
- Check plug-in connections and adapter
- On AC 25: verify position of LT- S and pressure clamp.

This is an old monitor cutter. There's no sfm 95 and ac25 in this cutter.

Hello, I have some errors in the "init-test" which do not allow the machine to start. It is a CD 102 and the errors are indicated in the "init-test-3" EAK-01 and EAK-02, in addition the "init-test-7" shows HAK-02. Can u help me? I don't know where to make a new post so I responded to this one.

You ca post this problem on heidelberg printing press .
To guide you about the issue uou must give me the error code of eak01 eak02 and hak02 card
It s in front of them like ( FFFD ) for example .
Take a picture and let me know

Here you have two issue on eak and hak please try to swap the eak and see if the problem jump to other group the error code mean that there is a faulty output function on input/output IC of eak card
Swap the card and let me know

I swapped the cards like you told me and one error was removed but two others persist.

Goodnight! The faults that persisted are "EAK-1" and "HAK-2". The "EAK-2" disappeared.

for the eak since you swapped the eak1 and the problem persists in the same location then try to remove the card gently clean the plugs with a dielectric (card cleaning product) make sure that all the pins are good dust the rack and check the rack connections. gently insert the eak.
for the hak card I think that the motor is not compatible have you already replaced or rewound the motor?? or the motor resistance is not good, because the motor does not match the power module or you put the wrong hak in the rack

Hi, have you repaired polar guillotine yet.
I can see you only have one green led but on power supply, top green led should also be lit, you have a power supply issue. Unplug other boards. Switch on if all green led on power supply lit then fault on one of boards. If still not lit power board faulty. If both green lights on unplug white module on back gauge control board and try again
