Polar 76EM Knife Stuck Error 88

Hi all,

I just read all the posts about error 88 on a Polar Mohr 76EM.
I understand that there is a problem with the safety bolt.

As far as I can see all I need to do is manually put the knife/blade in the right position. But I can't figure out how to do that.

Does anyone know how to put the knife/blade back in position manually on a Polar 76EM?

Hope you are well.
You have problem with the Safety Bolt,that the problem with the Error C 88
By turning the fly wheel in the position counter -clockwise rise the knife in the highest position.
You must have the handle to introduce in the cluth machine. See the operator manual
1)Test Safety Bolt mechanical stiffiness in its movements, lubricate with Graphite.
2)Test the switch bolt (limit switch ) or lectronic sensor with DMM like fluke for Open or Faulty.
3) Test the socket for the switch bolt or electronic sensor. See your schematic diagram according.
4)Measure the +42Vdc in the power supply section CU, and see if there are the terminal of Safety Bolt, see the Schematic D.
5)Test the power supply for +24Vdc
6) Exchange the Board IAR
7)Measure the FUSE F1, see the schematic diagrams.

I've had a look in the box that came with the machine, but there's no operator manual and the clutch handle is missing too. So I guess I'll have to go and find those first.
