Man Roland 506 PLV - Gripper/Swivel Shaft

We were told our Gripper Shaft would need to be replaced between Unit 2 & 3. We have a perfector press. Too much play with the grippers. Losing the image (blurry) on the sides. He can't tighten the grippers anymore.

Price for a new Gripper Shaft and Swivel Shaft is not feasible for a small printing operation. Man Roland does not make the shaft anymore and would have to manufacture.

Would anyone have suggestions for a fix or a source for a used shaft. An old beater 500 series that we could pick apart would suffice. We're currently have a 2006 model.

In order to achieve a result, you need to replace parts that can only be replaced on a dismantled transfer cylinder. I am sure that this is not a problem for you. You can disassemble and assemble the machine without any problem. Then the set of spare parts will cost you only 15-20k euros.
Serious repairs are made with original (Roland-manufactured) parts only. The cost of parts depends on the specific damage.
I wish you success in your search for cheaper options. The price I wrote above (UNDER 50k) is final and includes disassembly and assembly of the machine. Look at the picture.

Try Merlin in Halifax they maybe able to refurb or replace only certain parts
