Hello there,

we are planning to buy a Komori Lithrone 428-EM 1997 from UK (England). I am in Canada and I am want to make sure the press will work in Canada. Do you know what kind of electrical power this press requires, what kind of voltage, cycle, amps? Does someone have more information, like a technical data sheet specifications for this press? Does Komori presses are the same worldwide?

Any information would be much appreciated!

Thanks for your help!

The press will work
However the electrical system frequency in the uk is 50hz and in canada it is 60hz. You will need help from an electrician. i believe you will want to output 220v 3 phase wye from your transformer to supply the press. You may need to change the internal press transformers output depending on the setup in the uk.
Do you have the specs of the power on the uk side?
Also the accessories power should be considered.
Does this press have a coater?
I am not familiar with EM what does this mean

  • There should be a connector inside the main electrical cabinet that can be plugged into either a 50Hz or 60 Hz socket. It's for the solenoids that are sensitive to frequency. I don't know what "EM" means either but do have the spec sheet for transformer sizing in KVA but like kmoint says, having a coater may make a difference and there may be some other changes required.
I can recommend a good technician who lives in Toronto who would probably be able to help you with the installation.

I read in some other thread in this forum that EM means 'European Machine'. Sorry, if I am wrong.

    Not a problem

Use a transformer to take from your voltage to 200 - easy
connect right in the main cabinet - easy
press will not have any problems from this

as for em / eh / es

    em - european medium spec
    eh - european high spec
es - european standard spec - i.e. Low spec

em is normaly semi apc and no back cylinder washers
on a 1997 press you will not have a pdc-s
on an em 1997 you should check if all cylinders are chromedֱ
