I currenly run a ryobi 3302, I run a lot of envelopes, I also run a astro feeder for the last 10+ years, the feeder is great no issues setting up or running, my question is, in the past 6 months or so, when i have to stop to check a copy, and then re start feeder, my regerstraion is every where for about 5-10 copies, then it falls back in to place, I only have this issue in first head. Tried new blanket, too loose, to tight, and every thing in between, Im thinking mechancal internally with some worn out parts? any one have this issue? the press has about 5-8 million imps

5-8 million imps isn't alot unless there's a lot of revolutions. Are you talking overall stock registration issue or just fit between colors on head #1 ? And after the 5-10 copies it falls right back in place? Normally when you first startup and engage impression the first few sheets will be heavier on ink due to several plate to blanket impressions. Depending on sheet type and grain it can get a little out of sorts until it settles back in 10-20 imps later. Much more noticeable on 2 PMS work also.

As a stanard practice I change the lower infeed roller every 10 million, and since you're running alot of envelopes it eats up the centre to ribs. The part is about $200, I change my own, but I would suggest that you get a tec to install. A good guy should do it in less that 2 hours, barring any problems that you may encounter.

I would double check my vertical adjustment nut make sure it isn't loose cuz that will make it bounce around when getting started back up. The infeed roller is a good idea but if yours isn't to bad just clean it up really good get all the glaze off and it will work like new.
FSA about how hard would you say it is to change that roller cuz I have a new one sitting in my shop and we are pretty slow so i was going to install it. I don't have to split the frame or anything do I?

No you do not have to split the frame. The plate on the infeed has to come off, and the taper pin should be marked before removal. When I change the lower feed roller it is a good idea to install new bearing with it(check our parts book for size) You should have an impact screwdriver to break loose the screws that hold in the oil-right bushing. Reinstall the bushing with the oil hole uprigtht and tap in the taper pin tight with a proper punch.Pull your covers and look at what needs to come off & cleaning. P M me if you have any questions.
