Hello there,
First of all, it's a piece of great news that you have found and fixed the issue.
Just to add more values for ARCNET-related issues.
ARCNET HUB is a power amplifier for DATA Network and enables operation with more nodes.
- All nodes/LED/indications should remain permanently ON, if indications are blinking, it means a remote unit connected to ARCnet cable is creating a problem
ACRNET Card LED Status
LED ON - Normal Operation
LED OFF - NO Voltage - NO Function
LED BLinking - Network error
There are advanced instructions in the KBA Commissioning mode/CS31 control system to check the nodes' connectivity and response.
But if you don't know the instructions, you have to inspect each node connected to each cable and make sure all connected nodes (Boards/PLC/Display) are responding. Look at the picture to understand the routing of ARCNET cable.
Always check the status of
ABB PLC (KT94) if there is any
RED (Error), this PLC needs attention. Because the Arcnet cable is connected to the PLC and each PLC has other devices connected, if any of the connected devices have broken communication, the PLC will show RE (RED LED) Remote Error, and the data transmitted to the main console computer will show an error.
** The ARCNET is based on TOKEN ring topology
