Hey bgardner,
I running an iGen150 with Fiery RIP, and yes it can be very slow opening jobs, sometimes 20-30 seconds before I can do setups for the job.
Xerox Denmark, knows about it, and I think they have reported it to EFI, dont know if there is a solution yet
