Hello, I have both presses and just have the factory dampening systems. What are the advantages to upgrading to better dampening systems?

I've got a 9810 myself and a friend used to run a 9810 and 360 with Varn units. They transform the press. The new ones are self-setting so you only have to worry about setting the inking and the dampening sorts itself out. It stops any chance of scumming and it runs lighter on ink so the job dries quicker and needs less anti-set off spray.

  • Upgrading to a continuous dampening system has great advantages. I run a crestline on mine and its very easy to adjust and is very reliable

I have switched all our presses except for the 3304 to kompacs. I love them, very little adjustment ever needed
