Taking the door apart allowed me to find the little lug on end of inverter gate was broken, so solenoid not physically working gate. All...

You diagnosis is spot on, just replaced the inverter gate, it had a little broken plastic knob, which meant it was not engaged with solenoid arm any longer. Replaced the gate and all good now. Thanks for everyone's assistance.

Ah you spotted the important but incorrect typo! doh! Sorry about confusion Yes it is suppose to be 077-129 - have cleaned wiped and air sprayed every sensor I know of - is it a specific one or amalgamation of several tracking the path of paper?? Thanks.
