use 2 colors machine to print 4 colors，difficult？ or not？

I want to buy a small printer to print four colors works. i prefer QM46-2, but i want to know after first two colors, to wash all need how long time? very difficult?
ps, here is Africa ,so power support is very weak, that's one reason of i want QM46.

I have a QM46 & a PM46, if your quality expectations are quite high I have seen much better results achieved on a Ryobi 3302.

I can easily colour change a QM46 in half an hour for an acceptable full colour letterhead in half an hour, but I would not attempt a full colour A4 leaflet on Gloss art.

No it 's not difficult to wash..but keep in mind that QM46 is full with electronic stuff, so you need a competent service for it.
Spare parts i.e. electronics are expensive, machine is out. As Inky said a Ryobi could be the better choice. And big plus for Ryobi: side layer for smooth multicolour printing.

some can run 4c on the qm46...after running one for 15years..I barely can, you will never ever get perfect registration!!!! the amount of time and waste is not worth it!! forget about a 4c env unless you have a converter! if you have a lot of 4c work ,buy a 4 or 6 color press and a small 1 0r 2 color press for the garbage work

thanks for everyone！many of friends here recommended Ryobi3302 ，it's better than Qm46-2， i means about quality of they print.
it's looked like users of Qm46-2 is unsatisfied for it. i want to know what's prize of qm46-2 when it's new.

Dont get me wrong! The qm46/2 is a great machine for 2c work!!! Wash ups in 10mins
If chemisty and inks and media are all happy it will give you sellable prints with 10 impressions(Big IF lol)

My big concern with doing 4color on a QM-46 is that the sheet to sheet registration is not that great. If you're doing multi pass printing it usually involves extremely tight registration. Me personally, I would look into a press with a registration table on it. I would absolutely recommend a Hamada H-234, if I was going to buy a press to do what you're talking about that would be my choice.

i`m in Madagascar, this country is almost the most poor in the world(but we are not so Depression，on the contrary, we are very happy everyday).
so i think QM46,maybe need more time , it' s not worth too much in Madagascar.

it works,many china small factory use that way to cut the cost ,but the printing quality is not very good

best results printing 4c process in multiple passes will come if you follow some basic principles.

1 use the highest quality paper you can afford, to assure dimensional stability being
sure to only run paper that is fully acclimated to the pressroom
2 slow press down a bit to allow for best registration possible
3 if at all possible try to finish both sides of the job in one day, so that the job
is not sitting around incomplete.
4 If still available id suggest making a color key of the job to follow for first passes.

If a well skilled pressman were to follow these suggestions running a press thats capable of fine line registration, you should get sellable results although I can not promise you will make a profit.
