Need guidance on Epson Pro 7600 (never used a wideformat printer before)

Hi, I have a few questions about the Epson Stylus Pro 7600.

We've had this printer sitting in our living room for a couple of years now, and it's never been used (it was used maybe a handful of times by the previous owner, as I understand it). Now I want to use it to print some recruitment flyers for a digital media design/consulting company I'm starting.

So my first question is, is this just an oversized desktop inkjet printer, or is the quality somehow better? I understand that this printer uses a special type of ink, but from what I gather, the Ultrachrome ink can only be used on photopaper, while I'm only interested in printing flyers, brochures, and maybe business cards.

Which brings me to my next question: can this printer satisfactorily print on glossy non-photo paper (e.g. for brochures/flyers/posters)? I found a page on inkjetart.com that listed recommended media for Ultrachrome printers, but they were all thick photopaper. Could I use something like the HP Special Inkjet Paper or other cheap paper rolls and get decent results? The designs I want to print are mostly text and non-photographic graphics.

Last of all, for the applications I've listed, what type of ink and other materials do I need? Do I use Ultrachrome or the dye-based inks? Is there anything else I need to buy to start using this printer?

PS. I've attached the design for the recruitment poster I want to print. The Photoshop window is part of the design, and in total it's 18x11". I'd like for it to be on glossy paper, but mainly I just want to print it cheaply but still make it stand out from regular desktop-printed or photocopied flyers.
