Hi, i just buy this used machine, when i copy from the glass the color match almost perfect with the original. When i print i have problems with colors. In my screen i see red (it prints like orange), blues are different too (like purple), yellows are fine. Here you can see an image that i am using to test. All colors prints totally wrong, i tried with windows xp and Mac, and changing profiles. Please help me with this. I know many friends with this printer too, i tested on their machines and they print wrong too!!! I dont know if the machine cant handle the real colors or what?
PD: I use a Canon CLC 1180 and it prints same colors that you see on this file.

RIP (which one) or no RIP?

What driver are you using - PS or PCL?

What software are you printing from?

If you convert to CMYK and send a CMYK file instead of the RGB file do you see results that match your screen more closely?

Did you do a full auto graduation adjustment and then calibrate the RIP (at least via the color cal)?

  • Your screen is calibrated? If no, it's normal that what you see on screen does not match the print.

Also, Canon does not calibrate there colour profile perfectly on purpose, they'll tell you if you want better colour, buy there RIP server at 20 000$ that have calibrated profile

You can buy a calibrator like this one : http://www.amazon.com/Pantone-MEU11...2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1284169216&sr=8-2

It will create colour profile for all your printer and monitor.

My printer doesnt have the "white box in the back" so i think i dont have rip.
    Im using PCL driver.
I print from Photoshop, preview, pdf all with same results.
The file in the preview is CMYK. I tried both CMYK and RGB and both are wrong colors.
I did the full autograduation, but i dont know how to calibrate anything else.
Ill upload the file and scan the print examples so you can see better.
Im thinking my machine is printing wrong becouse i dont have rip or something, at the same time i cant believe that from canon...
