Heidelberg CP2000 communications with press lost

Hi,

I have a problem with 8 colour SM102. I am using CIP3 (.ppf files). When I load the file from network for inking settings into CP2000, after 30 sec there appears an error: COMMUNICATIONS WITH PRESS HAVE BEEN LOST. And I need to restart the machine. It is funny. If I save the same file in CP2000 database and then load it from database, there is everything cool.

I changed all the UTP cabels, but it is still the same.
Is there someone who have some idea what to do?

I suspected there was a cable problem but it seems something else might be the reason. Maybe a sharing/security issue on the network?

Hi,

I solved my problem. .
I also called the heidelberg service, but they didnt solved the problem. I fixed the problem by myself.
There was a problem on computer in SM102.
When we bouht this machine, I made backup of both (2) discs whitch are in the computer in the machine. I made it because I knew that there will come a day when I will need it.
On our SM102, CP2000 is running on Windows NT.

The first thing what I did was: I closed CP2000 (program), and searched in Windows "temp" files from CP2000 and deleted them. If I remember right, there are 2 folders where CP2000 is saving some "temp" files. I dont remeber the name of this 2 folders. So I deleted all the files in both folders, because you dont need them. When I cleaned temp files the problem was solved.
BUT,
after some days I remembered I made backup disc of this computer . I reinstalled the beckup back on SM102 . and thats all folks, I thing you guys have the same problem.
So, I didnt see this problem for maybe 2 years and then it came back, but I did the same thing again..... and the problem "error" disappeared.
If you dont have backup of the discs, you need to delete (clean) temp files.

You need to connect the keyboard to computer and it would be good if you have the mouse too.
When CP2000 is loaded and opened you press 3 buttons togather CTRL+ALT+DELETE. Then it opens "Task manager". When you have "Task manager" you can minimize CP2000 or you can open anather window... if I remember right I opened "explorer" and CP2000 automaticaly closes.
You need to close or minimize CP2000 or open(run) some other program with "Task manager".

Hello, we have such problem, but we can't load profile neither from prepress interface nor from local database and usb. After start we got security error on 91 place. We have backup discs and backup compact flash from SCU, but when we start from backup discs we have the same problem. Can you help with advice? Sometimes after power off we can load profiles, but after next reboot we can't.
