Just get some feedback on it, like glues foils, maybe different techniques I've been doing it for a few years now just wanted to see who used itwhat do you ant to ask about?
many thanks for your replyWe are using a newer glue from INX ifs an HT meaning high tac. Running the density around 80 seems to work out really good but the foil is so inconsistent we are trying a lighter foil from kurz no but haven't tried all the jobs with it
What is your issueAnyone print with cold foil? Been using it for years now just wanted opinions on it.
Don't really have any issues in running it, but the foil we use is not consistently good.I am very successful at running cold foil
we face problem with our foil material or glueI am very successful at running cold foil
many thanks AdilChoosing the right foil material and glue is essential for successful foil stamping. Here are some considerations:
For foil material
Type of Foil:Consider the type of foil you need—metallic, pigment, holographic, etc. Each type has different visual effects.
Compatibility: Ensure compatibility with your printing substrate. Some foils work better on certain materials.
Adhesion Properties: Choose a foil with good adhesion properties to prevent flaking or peeling after application.
Heat Resistance:Verify that the foil can withstand the heat required for the foil stamping process without distortion.
For Glue
Adhesive Compatibility:Ensure the glue you use is compatible with the foil material. Some foils may require specific adhesives.
Drying Time: Consider the drying time of the glue. It should allow enough time for proper foil adhesion without drying too quickly.
Consistency:The glue should have a consistent texture for uniform application. Inconsistent application can lead to foil adhesion issues.
Temperature Resistance: Choose a glue that can withstand the elevated temperatures during the foil stamping process.
Environmental Considerations:if environmental impact is a concern, look for eco-friendly glue options.
Good luck
