I'm not sure what happened but my delivery chain came apart on my Ryobi 3200. the connection link is broken and the gripper came free on one side. I have another connecting link and the bracket that holds the gripper on. Are there any suggestions on how to pull the chain tight to reconnect the chain?

There is a nut and bolt facing the inside of the delivery area on the end of your chain assembly loosen this and you should be able to get your chain back together you only want about 6mm to 8mm slack on the chain when tightening it up, Remember when starting back up to hand rotate first checking that your timing didn't get off or you could really do some damage to both the back cylinder and your grippers

  • Ok, I was able to reconnect the chain without loosening anything. I adjusted all the grippers and started to run. I ran about 100 sheets and the press will no longer go on impression. What do you think caused that?

well when your chain broke was it running? Your gripper bar prolly smacked a few things around. I hate to say you shouldn't have ran those 100 sheets thru but thats prolly the case something got loose or maybe even broke now. You can check your impression lever latch inside the op side cover whats your email i can send some pics and you can send me some so we can get this back up and going for ya

Do you have feeler fingers or an electronic sensor at the infeed of your press?

I have feeler fingers. I pulled the OP cover off and I can see the impression pall engage but nothing is coming to the sheet.

I'm not sure if I can explain this, but on further investigation it looks like the blanket cylinder has moved. Meaning if I were to adjust the vertical adjustment to move the image up or down, that cylinder is way out of wack. The bolt was loose when I looked at it and it looks to me like it has moved quite a bit, I can't move it back because something is stopping the movement. I guess it is the master cylinder.
