Sorry for what may be a basic question, but I have just started working at a shop that uses the Komori PCC workflow.
I work in Prepress, and one of the tasks we have is to open .ppf files, convert spot colors into process equivalents, and save the inkprofile (pq4) file into another folder that is accessed by the Komori GLX press.
This was set-up a while ago.
I wonder why this is done? Only for a visual?
Based on the PDF manual we have on our server the version is 2.33.
Looking at the workflow I have been able to convert the spot colors to process on the fly, but we would still need to open the .ppf file and save into a pq4 file.
Is there a way to automate this?
