    welcome to the site, Daz.

nope. have to open shut, area 2 and printer door. then it doesnt clear half the time. only thing that clears it, is flipping sensors on with PSP diagnostics, or reboot.

a problem Igen has experienced since VERY early on, its one that I just "deal with it" and Iv'e now grown weary of.

nope, igen still down see fuser thread. i do have the sensor though. wasnt what I thought it was. I dont think they ever replaced it the first time.....dont recall seeing that part. quite small.

SOLVED: Last night, After we got the new rollers and lamps in, the tech left. had another obligation. I agreed to have him come back today to install sensor.

the damned thing completely failed after he left lol. of course I had a RIGHT now print to do... I have never been keen on messing with registration from experience(bad day on a Kodak digimaster) so I sucked it up, and swapped it myself. not bad. learned some things. indeed. 2+ years iv'e had this occasional error...since the tech in question was BRAND new when he "fixed" it. I see he put in one of the bigger registration sensors. I thought it was weird... but ME being only half trained, and him being Xerox useless trained...and Not wanting to crush the new guys confidence....I never questioned it. had no clue really. never took that cover off. theyre somewhat easy to do.... and the sensors. ALL MARKED clearly!

Anyhoo....it was simple. but I lost 2 screws in the process :)

my number that WAS 255, its now, 86. and running fantastically. lesson learned.

  • right on, thanks Milo.
