Anybody have experience with putting kompacs on a 3304HA? I was wondering how that setup would work on process work, quality and consistency?

one of the easiest water systems out there. real easy to take care of and will offer superior performance for the life of the press if they are taken care of. I use crestlines on my 3302 just uses a couple extra rollers than the kompacs.

  • Hi, we have two 02's and both originally came with crestlines. Had trouble with ink creep on the lead edges so replaced them with kompacs. Easy to use, no brainer to run. Have been on a 3304HA for bout 9 years now with the Ryobi "stock" water system. Runs great, awesome quality as long as they are maintained but you have to replace rollers pretty frequently (yearly). I was just curious if someone out there is currently running the same press with kompacs and how the quality of the print was,(screens light and dark, plugging toning etc.

3304 is the same as the 3302 just has two extra towers so why wouldn't kompacs run just as good in that as on your 02's

Why would you want to step down in water control, kompacs are still going to need rollers just like any other continues water system, and the rollers cost more, they leak. We get two years of preformace on the meters(cleaned with bio-degradalble MRC) and up to three years on the forms(except the red unit). But hey you want to spend the money and time go for it.

I've no intention of converting. Just wondered how it would perform. I'm getting bout 15 months out of OEM water metering and form rollers, and two years on ink rollers. I ran Kompacs for years but they can't compare to the quality of the system on the 04.
