Mine was 60 months, FMV buyout .049 Color no limitations .0129 B&W No minimum click charge
  10. LPI vs DPI

Im not sure if this is what you are saying... so smaller dots give you capability for a higher concentration of lines(lpi)? I have made this deduction already, but i guess im just confused on why I see inconsistency of line screens with certain advertised DPI. IE 175 LPI @ 300 dpi or 250...
  11. LPI vs DPI

I am not new to offset printing. I have brokered offset printing for 5 years. I am familiar with calculus concepts using algebra. I know what to look for in print providers. It seems that whenever I am looking at high lpi rated print the dots are much smaller Also it seems that the higher...
  12. Retrofit?!?!?!?

I'll found out if my source in Indianapolis can get a press sheet if so, I'll order some and then hit you up to see if you want to buy it after I cut it down to size. I'm sure I can get it around 120 or so perM if I buy enough if retail is 160
  13. Retrofit?!?!?!?

Yes, please email or post up on here if you find a better looking sheet. How much per/M is that 90# kromekote gloss text that you speak of? I am definately interested in something more glossy. Sometimes, I buy my paper in press sheet 28 x 40 or 26 x 40 and trim out to 13 x 19 to save money.
  14. Xerox Docucolor 242 one-month review

Call a rep and have them check the spec range on sef 18'' skew. I think it was only 1.4 MM, but if you're duplexing it you might be getting 2.8-3.0 and be within xerox spec range.
  15. Xerox Docucolor 242 one-month review

I'm not sure if you are comparing apples to apples(maybe only in price)... In my opinion the 242 is a hybrid between a light duty production machine and an office copier machine. I think the c1 was intended for strictly production work You might want to look at a xerox 700(same engine, faster...
  16. Retrofit?!?!?!?

Actually, The tech shot me straight, hopefully... I think the retrofit was for the corotron and the fuser. He said that he adjusted the warning message for the life of the equipment. He said that he had not adjusted the quality. I have not noticed any change in quality yet, but I have only...
  17. Retrofit?!?!?!?

Has anyone had xerox service retrofit their docucolor 2xx? A service tech called me and told me that they are going to retro fit my machine? Is this a nice way of saying that they are going to turn down my (fuser, drum, and etc) settings and thus lower the quality of prints? If the quality...
  18. Did I get a good deal?

I want to know if I got a good/great/or average deal? I believe I held out and did a good bit of negotiating with Xerox on a new DC 242 with Fiery, Workstation, and Impose software... No Finishing or High Cap feeder, just basic catch tray.. I pay 330.90/month Color .049 BW .0129...
  19. Xerox Docucolor 242 one-month review

Hmm, the rep did not mention any skew adjustments. Are you running Kromekote through the bypass? If you are running it through the bypass I suggest making some type on contraption to put in the space between the paper guides and edge of bypass. I use 1 8.5 x 11 100# cover, fold it over to...
