May I ask for your help? I wish to print logos and text on Tyvek wristbands. The sheets are 10"x 7.5" (25.4cm x 19cm) with glue tabs on one short end.

We have used simple Inkjets in the past but paper flow through the machine is an issue and the quality of the printing not fine enough as the ink tends to feather at the edges.

The ink needs to be waterproof.

Laser printers appear to be too hot and deform the sheets.

Most text/ printing is in black but the ability to print in other colours would be nice

We would like the ability to print short runs (10+ sheets) as well as longer runs (1000+ sheets).

The paper handling and the quality of the print on Tyvek are most important. I haven't set a budget. I'll listen to the advice.

    Thank you for your help

Thank you plotter. The HP laser I have tried crinkled them beautifully- it maybe the xerox is cooler. I like the idea of a laser if it works as the quality would be excellent. Would I be able to send you a sample to try and print on and see if it works? regards Billywizz

Sorry but I can't help on this one- I print on Tyvek wristbands in sheets of 10 with perferations between each. Tell be if you do find a good source as I am looking to print race numbers on Tyvek next, so need to start looking myself.

    Thanks

Hi - I've been told by Xerox that Tyvek could be disastrous in a ColorQube but I'm anxious to try it. Has your experience been uniformly good, has tyvek been OK in your ColorQube? Thanks so much for any help/info, it's greatly appreciated, Mark.

I know this is an old thread but can anyone tell me the setting for the Xerox Phaser 6130 for printing Tyvek wristbands as mine keeps melting them but everyone says they are great for printing them. I have been printing thermal wristbands until now but branching out.

How to print on Tyvek wristbands

Hello everyone. We suggest our customers use Cinta wristbands instead of Tyvek wristbands. Cinta wristbands satisfy the same requirements as Tyvek wristbands but has more attractive surface. The imprint on the Cinta wristbands is more clear and has better quality. Cinta Wristbands Can be used in all solid ink printers, cold phasing printers, led printers. Tested models: Xerox Phaser, Xerox Color Qube, Konica Minolta BizHub.

Here is the short video how we print on Cinta Wristbands
