The 2005 XL 105 that I operate is having an issue with the blanket washer roll not advancing. The blanket washer roll will get stuck and continue to wash the blanket without advancing, causing the cloth to become saturated. It happens in every unit and we have tried MANY different types of washing rolls. It is very inconsistent at how far into the roll it will become stuck, sometimes a brand new roll becomes stuck after a wash or two, sometimes it gets stuck halfway through the roll. Our vendor has told us that we use the same blanket wash solution as the other shops that use the same washer rolls. I've tried many different washing programs but nothing seems to help.

I had seen this problem on XL106, 2012 on one unit. Take a look to the attached file. Try to find the knurled wheel which is marked "9". It is located at Operating Side, just above the wash up cassette. You need to pull out the cassette first. This wheel measures the amount of cloth feeding. On that machine, this wheel was blocked due to dirt and ink particles and it could run smoothly. In general the wash up cloths get stuck since the feed amount is not equal to rewind, then the cloth get wet and saturated and it becomes more difficult to rewind.
Let us know the results.
Good luck.

  • Hi, I have a problem with a 2022 XL 75. In practice, I can't remove the cylinder washer because it's blocked. Has this happened to anyone yet? Thanks for your help

    Dear Sir,
Can you send a photo for your system since there are two different systems on XL75 machines.

    Dear Sir,
First, try to make sure that your device is turning smoothly by hand, move and clean the bearings both sides.
Check the overrunning clutch at your device.
Finally, check if the white plastic piece is worn, change it if necessary.
