Frendly greetings,

I bought used DC 242 with about 450k impressions total. It prints all fine, but just had this strange issue that images are distorted (see attachment). Red color is how I send it to print from Illustrator and black color is how it actually prints (scanned A4).

Maybe someone have ideas how to fix this? Btw it prints like that form all trays.

Thanks for help everyone :) Bit of update on this issue. I have pushed Registration Transport Assembly. It is better now but still not perfect. RTA was bit dirty with toner from 2nd BTR, I cleaned both RTA and 2nd BTR.

Anyway I was wondering if replacing Registration Transport Assembly would help or am I barking at the wrong tree?

    Pushed ?
Does yours have the optional Registration Transport Adjustment Screw to adjust there?

    Stock weight make any difference?

Feeding from bypass any better than drawers?

In my last post I have attached picture how I 'pushed' RTA. There is screw on one side with some marks for adjustment i guess, but not sure if this is the same optional adjustment screw you are talking about.

Same result if I print from bypass or any other trays. Also same result with light or heavy or even coated stock.
