I've been meaning to send another print sample to kompac to test gloss coating -- the first test I sent I printed on our current stock of choice (uncoated) which is Mohawk 98 32/80 lb color copy paper. It didn't work at all, and they asked me to send in a sample printed on a coated stock. What stock do you run on your canon or other non-oil wax-toner based machines to have gloss uv coated?

Thanks xpg. What happens uv glossing thinner stock in your experience?
(the thickest we would want to run is 32/80lb text as otherwise our postage would really go up)

It will tend to wrap around the roller - big mess. What type of digital printer are you using?
