Hi just standard I.R sm 52 dryer unit. series of long bulbs you can pull entire unit out for cleaning.also water tops up via valve at side of press.but when I top up water shoots straight out overflow pipe.

Just a random thought, as I've never had a similar fault, but possibly a split diaphragm in the expansion tank, or hopefully it could just be the valve on the expansion tank that's knacked?
(it'll be a standard valve available from Halfords, if they're open a at the moment...)
    Fingers crossed.

It's possible the manometer orifice is blocked. Sediment or mineral deposit. If the manometer is readily removable, you may try removing it and check for blockage. This is the standard Heidelberg dryer with the reservoir access under the OS of delivery, yes?

There is some blockage in water circuit, you should check it part by part

Please double check the machine size, is it SM52 OR SM74 OR SM102?

You should check points from 4 (filling input) to 2 (pressure gage)
I hope it will be helpful for you
