Hello,
for several years searching the internet and several events like Drupa (Germany) I still haven't found what I was looking for. A small payable inktjet printer that is able to print stock paper/cardboard between 400 gr and 1000 gr. Same system like a T-shirt printer (including the white color). Letterpress printing is more popular than ever (what is in my opinion a good thing). There are so many types of paper with a warm powerful character that can only be printed with a letterpress but in my humble opinion there is an open marked for such type of printers without infringing the spirit of letterpress printing. For an technical engineer this must be a piece of cake, so it can't be that those things don't exist. Just for paper, not for the gadget market. Is there somebody...

We have a cheapie Epson P50 that we use for printing CDs and thick paper stock. It has a virtually straight paper path, The ink cartridges are tiny and expensive so you'd be wise to use continuous ink, but do so from the outset.

  • Hello William,

thx for your reply!! What is the thickest paper you have printed? Have you modified the printer? I have search and found the printer on the internet, but I can't find nothing about the tickness and max format of heavy weight paper.
