My job has a Polar 155 CE and the backgauge on the cutter is not square. Does anyone know how to square up this old of a cutter?

The cutter is out of square a little more than 1/16" (when measuring the far left side to the far right side).

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Hi sir
    Hope you are well.
    Please proceed as follow:
To square up the backgauge proceed as follows:
Take a ream of paper approx. 5 cm (2”) in height, 10 to 20 cm (4” to 8”) in width and as long as possible up to the size of the table width. Trim both sides lengthwise. lift off about half of the pile and turn it horizontally by 180”. Place it bath on top of the other half and kno& whole pile against backgauge. At the side, of which the bottom part is a little wider the adjusting screw at the backgauge has to be tigtened slightly. Naturally the opposite adjusting screw has to be loosened by the same distance. Repeat cutting, check piles and adlust until the pile is completely parallel.
    Let me know.
