    Hello to all forum members. I have a problem with the PLC of a 1999 Shinohara 52II printing press. It seems that a part of the software has been deleted. The Italian assistance unfortunately fails to solve the problem. Can anyone help me? Has anyone had any similar software problems with shinohara? How did you do? Any help is appreciated, I would be very grateful. Thank you!

    Hi sir;

    Shinoara has been difficult to reach, tech documentation+software,etc from manufacturer Japan

    In my experience , I have not been successful with this company and delears around the world.

    I believe, and suggest that you will go to the dealer in his area, or go to the manufacturer; remember, NOT all software or Firmware are compatible wit the same models, since there are different version for each machine.

    Do not waste his time+ money

    Hello Sir, Thanks for your answer. The area assistance has already been contacted with little success unfortunately. I know that the software versions are not all the same I am seeing machines from the same period with very close serial numbers. The problem is that fuji to download the PLC software and connect to the PC needs a FLT-ASFKA adapter which costs at least 2500 euros. Anyone have this adapter? Do you have any advice for me? Thank you very much!

    Dear Sir;

    Sorry do not have any idea, by that reason, i did comment you, that was bad expérience with this company.

    Very difficult, maybe you can search by Online, Google, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc where are Technician from Shinoara, and ask them about this device+software.

    Or maybe you can manufacturer that device.

    Otherwise, you must go to the Factory or area assistance . Sorry

    Blessing

    Good morning. The Shinohara 52-2 machine had a short circuit. When the PLC was lowered, the machine's programming was erased. It did not turn on, and it had a constant audible alarm. We were able to obtain the PLC software, the power on and operation of the machine in terms of getting it moving worked. The servomotors worked for the most part. Only one is missing, which is humidification. However, the machine has some POD parameters that activate functions such as Autoplate, Humidification, Anti-repainting powder, sheet counter. In addition, the audible alarm continues.

    Hi sir:

    1) Verify that the input voltage matches the tabs or jumpers of the Main Transformer,
    2) Check if a Stop button is on or a safety grille is open.
    3) that the communications cables are well secured in their connectors, and the pins are NOT bent, dirty, or corroded.
    4) tighten the entry lines well.
    5) make sure that the card and edge connectors are very clean (do them with a pencil eraser, this causes 75% of electronic failures) and then clean them with Contacts cleaner, also, clean all the RACKS,...... .!!!!
    6) check that the REGULATED power supply of the PLC is in the Up or Down range in tolerance 0.7%

    Good luck.

    Good morning. Sorry for the inconvenience again. All your recommendations have been reviewed, thank you very much for your attention. However, it did not work for us. The technical person who helps us with electronic problems discovered communication problems between the screen and the PLC. Some integrated ones that do not have a reference or brand are damaged. He checked them to find out what function they have and could not find what they do or what function they have. It tells us that it is not possible to know. That it would be preferable to get a screen of that same reference, second-hand to test it. If you or someone has knowledge of who has that touch screen. Beforehand many thank you for your time. I attach photos.

    Hi esaupi27 and pepino di sante. Has the battery in the HMI been replaced as indicated in the maintenance manual? At any time did the HMI indicate a battery failure? It looks like......

    Good night, diegoeze. Yes, the battery has been replaced and once it had to be changed because the screen showed a warning to change the battery. It was done according to the maintenance and it worked perfectly. Until the day the modules and the PLC suffered a short circuit and I know they burned some electronic components. It was possible to fix the PLC and the modules that had burned, however there is no good communication between the screen and the PLC, and the paper input to the fiber optic sensors does not work and the sheets of paper do not circulate. paper,s interrupts the passage of paper on the second sheet. According to the person who fixed the PLC there are communication problems between the PLC and the screen. Checking the screen, two deficient integrated type components appeared, but they do not have a reference or marked function that could be used to acquire or buy them. That is why it was decided to either get the new screen or a used one. Thank you very much for answering my concern.

    Hi Esaupi27,
    We also seem to have the exact same issues with our Shinohara 52IVP. Did you buy the new or used screen and was that successful in getting the machine functioning properly again?
    Thanks

    Hi Andy64, I have to tell you that after repairing the PLC, the machine wasn't working. Upon checking the control screen, we discovered a problem with one of the components. It was replaced with a secondhand screen, and it worked. You also need to install the machine software and parameters. But to your question about whether it works, of course it does. Perfectly. I hope I've been helpful. Best of luck.

    Hi Esaupi27,
    That information you have given me is really helpful and we will try to obtain a used screen as soon as possible. If you don't mind me asking, what price did you pay for your replacement screen? Thanks in advance.
