Separation delay

    What does Separation delay do? And reason to use it?

    It has to do with drying times, I think.

    Hi ,

    is it maybe come from DFE problem , checking the DFE is it have error , also you can repulg the vcorn and whel24 board wring.

    separation delay used to be null cycles. you can add a revolution or 2 before or after the 4 color print to accomodate the stretch of the material as it is printed. Heat sensitive materials (synthetics) will move alot more than paper. It will also help in drying of heavy ink coverage. I dont think there are any rules as to when to use it, but if you need it, it is invaluable.
    If your press is registering paper correctly, and you only run paper, you probably wont use it, unless you are double hitting or really heavy coverage.

    Yes I started using it on really heavy coverage on 420 gsm , seems to stop a front edge mark I've been getting. Cheers
