Right PH for Fountain solution

I'm running a 3302M with a Crestline dampening system,
Sylver plates, oil and rubber base inks.
One step fountain solutions.
What is the right PH supossed to be?
My reasearh from old books , fountains solutions labels and diferents test that I have dione done tell me that it could be between 3.6 and 5.5
I think that margen is too big.
Does anybody have a opinion for a more accurate PH standard?

Every water supply is different, so what works for some may not work for you.

We have seen that a lot of our printing customers are using the M6/pH meter to test for pH and conductivity. The range is 0-5000 and 2-12 pH. pH is usually buffered so conductivity is important. Our printing customers typically have measurements of around 5.5 pH and conductivity around 1650 micromhos at 10-12 deg C. To achieve this, they use about 8-10% of fount additive... Every print shop is different, so it is best to get in touch with the supplier and let them know your application. They should be able to suggest the optimal measurement range. Once you have this info, visit the link and select the meter you need to measure pH and conductivity.

Here is a general tip for printing press operators that we have gotten from our printing customers:

Always have a good pH conductivity meter to test your fountain solutions. Make sure that you or your company has one on hand to troubleshoot problems as they arise and keep the printing press running smooth. Some supplies reps will test the water for you to give a baseline, but it can change over time, so it’s best to keep one in the shop.
