The machine counter has nothing to do with the computer motherboard. Check the Dallas chip.

There is no reset button for counter. Now you have to change Dallas Real time IC, which you can see on MMS board .

Thank for your reply. How do I change Dallas Real time IC? What does the Dallas Real time IC look like?
    Is this a chip?

    Dear Sir;

The 1rs Pic with the number G 35 4950 70, where the IC (integrated circuit) INTEL, that is the CPU or Up( microprocessor).
If it does not have Reset button, attached you will find it my own Technique and schematic how to do it.

    1) You must measure the Vcc in the Cpu or Up according with his schematic diagrams electrical. if there are in Tolerance.
    2) The clock specified in MHZ, you must measure with some DMM( Digital multimeter) that is coming with MHZ, or Oscilloscope, if there are the MHZ, printed in the CLOCK.
    3) You must search according with the number of CPU or Up, in Google, Yahoo, or Bing the Pins Schematics, like i did attached as example.

    Good luck.

    Let me know, sincerely

    Blessing

So I have to replace the Dallas chip to fix ACT number problem. Are there any backup actions or other things that I need to do before replacement? Will there be anything that needs to be set in the system after the replacement?
    Regards

That's right. Dallas is on socket.
When buying a chip, watch out for the year of manufacture. There is a battery inside. Whether it works or not, time is running out.

I searched this chip on the web and found this chip has been discontinued.

I have already replaced the chip, but the problem still exists.
Is there any other motherboard with this chip?
What else could be the problem?please help me.

    Today's test found something.
When warm boot, ACT number can remember.
But cold boot(switch main power) can't remember.
