I have a QMDI-46 Pro. Normally when running the press, during a jam-up or if the machine pulls a double, the suckers will still have a grip on the next sheet that it is about to pull, so I can just clear the misfed sheet, turn the press back on to impression and away we go. However, now what happens is when the press jams or pulls a simple double, the feed suckers will drop the next sheet which means I have to clear the stream, reset the paper and then get the press back on impression. It does not do this if I am sending blank stock through the press for setup when it's not on impression. When it's not on impression and it has a jam, the pump stays on and the suckers continue to hold the next sheet, but when it's on impression the pump turns off and drops the next sheet. This is recent and never used to do this so if anyone has advice, please let me know. While this doesn't affect the operation or the mechanics of the press, it is a time waster if I have to clear a lot of doubles or jams.
