Problem with PQC of Lithrone 526 1990 make

Around 10 days back while the machine was under use we saw some smoke coming out from the 3rd unit and immediate after that PQC stopped working related to ink control. The registration, dampening is working.
The local technician checked and informed us that the Cable from Black Box to the unit Short Circuited and wires mingled because of heat.
The technician tried to check other units by changing the cables. It was observed that while ink key no 8 is operated motor of 13 No. Keys at Docket moves.
My technician is helpless and can not do any thing.
We are running the machine by manual Ink Control through Keys.
Please advice what we are to do.

1) If we are operating from PQC for unit no. 3 and setting the ink for key no. 8 then we observe that in unit 3 ink key no. 13 at Ink docket moves.
2) Right now we are operating the machine with manual setting of ink in all the units.
3) We are unable to understand why the Cable short circuit happended ( What could be the possible reason)
