Print onto black card

Hi all
I am trying to print black onto black 350gsm card on Xerox DC242, this will then run through a laminator with white laser foil.
I am struggling to get the black card through the DC242 it stops on the transfer belt.
I'm guessing because it is not seeing a light coloured paper and is seeing the black card but thinking it as a sheet hasn't arrived. Is there a cheat to get it to print?
I'm using profile of Heavyweight 3.

Good afternoon The Xerox DC 242 can't handle the 350gsm check the print preference for the max thickness. I use the Xerox 550 and it handles up to 300 gsm and curls a lot.
